1、提問時不能省略today，省略了別人不知道你問的具體哪天，今天？或明天？或後天…4、今天是23日那就是january 23啊…打錯哦…5、date前要加the。
6和7、this改為it。 英語就是這麼問的了…已經很簡單了（只剩主、謂、賓了，都沒有修飾語了…）。後天和前天英語都很麻煩的，分別是the day after tomorrow和the day before yestoday，沒有省略的

你總結的從語法上看沒有錯。可是總覺得有些彆扭。比如：
現在是什麼季節？what's the season?也可以吧。
還有，如果想簡單一些，可以不要指示代詞和be動詞，直接問：what season?只要雙方都明白都可以了。
後天：the day after tomorrow前天：the day before yesterday你可以找你們的外教問問。
不過，外教也是僅代表他（她）個人或他們（她們）地區人的習慣說法而已，就像中國一樣，他們（她們）也有習慣性說法和方言的。
