這首兒歌很經典：

歌詞由jane taylor23歲時於2023年寫就出版。一閃一閃的星星引起身為女子的詩人自然聯想到一顆永留傳的鑽石，詩中描繪出的意境單純而又悠遠，帶著一點點世俗柴公尺氣味，和「床前明月光，疑是地上霜」比還是差些。
老美們都是動物親善大使，連黑乎乎的蜘蛛爬蟲都能唱進兒歌裡：

crawled up the water spout
down came the rain
and washed the spider out
out came the sun and dried up all the rain
and the eensy weensy spider
crawled up the spout again.
唱的時候拇指，食指互動相接模仿蜘蛛上爬，甩手表示蜘蛛被雨沖走，以手畫圈形容太陽出現，頗有童趣。eensy weensy 極言其小。
可憐的小蜘蛛好不容易爬到高地，誰想一陣雨衝得稀里嘩啦找不著北，還好太陽公公及時趕到，戰勝惡勢力，曬乾了所有的雨水，解救出無辜的小生命。小蜘蛛百折不撓地又爬上老地盤，yeah！有沒有好來塢大片的感覺？
說到下雨，還有一首有趣的兒歌：

這是從「barney」節目中看來的，所以歌中唱的是「barney的朋友要出去玩」。

這個版本能把提償孝為百先的儒家聖人氣得從地下跳起來：

歌中對鰥寡孤獨老人沒有一點尊重和同情，反而百般嘲笑，且看瓢潑大雨中老傢伙酣聲如雷，跌跌撞撞，睡倒在床上就沒再爬起來，總之極盡醜化之能事。在這裡荀子的性惡說得了上風，每個小孩唱起時都嘻嘻哈哈大笑不停。不過從另一面來講，老人正是扮演乙個小丑角色，逗逗樂而已。
反映汽車文化的勉強可算上這首：

觀察很是細緻入微，車輪旋轉，雨刷來回，喇叭清脆，錢幣叮噹，司機發令，嬰孩哭鬧，母親安慰，......還沒完呢，父親呵欠（the daddy on the bus goes「ha，ha，ha」），車門開合（the doors on the bus go open and shut），乘客抱怨（the lady on the bus says, 「get off my feet」），臨別讚揚（the people on the bus say, 「we had a nice ride」）......小孩真能領會的話,寫作文肯定不用發愁。
